报告摘要:

Closely spaced but electronically isolated electronic double-layer systems are fascinating to reveal interlayer quasiparticle interactions and to discover interlayer correlated states. In particular, the highly tunable electronic properties of 2D materials, together with the accessibility of ultra-small interlayer separation, enable the investigation of the drag effects in previously inaccessible strong-coupling regimes.

In this talk, I will present our recent work on the interlayer drag experiments in several graphene-based electronic double-layer systems. This includes the discovery of a fingerprint feature of drag effect between massless and massive fermions [1], a new type of quantum interference effect between drag processes [2], a giant and highly-tunable supercurrent drag effect attributed to Josephson-Coulomb drag mechanism [3], and new aspects of moiré drag effect [4]. Our findings collectively establish 2D material-based electronic double-layer systems as a novel platform to explore emergent interlayer quantum effects, offering unforeseen opportunities for the development of new-principle electronic devices.

报告人简介:

曾长淦,中国科学技术大学讲席教授。1997年和2002年分别获中国科学技术大学理学学士和理学博士学位,2002-2007年在美国田纳西大学从事博士后研究,2007年被聘为中国科学技术大学物理学院和合肥微尺度物质科学国家研究中心教授。长期从事低维凝聚态物理和电学量子计量研究,在量子材料电子态和量子输运特性的设计与调控及其量子计量方面的应用等领域取得了系列进展。承担包括国家重点研发计划项目、中科院战略先导专项、基金委重点项目等多项科研任务。
