The first "Von Klicin lecture" on May 6 officially opened in my school. Professor Claus von Klicin, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, Prof. Zhang Shou Sheng, from Stanford University in the United States, Prof. Miura Deng from the University of Tokyo, Japan,Xue Qikun, academician from Tsinghua University,Fang Zhong,researcher at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and many other world famous experts in the field of condensed matter physics gathered in our school to give lectures.

" Von Klicin lecture " originated in early 2012.Vice President Luo Jun and Director of the National Center for Pulsed Magnetic Field Science (preparation), Professor Li Liang led a delegation to visit the German Max-Planck Institute of Solid State Research and made a special trip to visit the 1985 Nobel Prize in Physics, Professor Claus von Klicin.After an in-depth exchange, Von Klicin was pleased to agree to be honored as an honorary professor of our school and agreed to open a " Von Klicin lecture" in our school since 2013.

In the two and a half days of lectures, the participants of the experts and scholars brought a lot of spiritual feast to our school teachers and students.Teachers and students recognized the latest research trends in frontier science such as quantum anomaly Hall effectfrom the experts' reports, and learned how to do research work.During the lecture, the experts also listened to the academic reports from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Wuhan University, the strong magnetic field of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the young scholars of our school physics institute, and had a lively discussion on the scientific research of young scholars.

During this period, the experts also visited the National Pulse Strong Magnetic Field Science Center(preparation).The experts and our teachers exchanged views on how to use the pulsed strong magnetic field experimental device to carry out scientific research and affirmed the construction level and speed of our school's pulsed strong magnetic field experimental apparatus.

" Von Klicin lecture " will be held once a year in our school.The symposium will be co-sponsored by Professor Claus von Klicin and the National Pulse Strong Magnetic Field Science Center to invite prominent scholars at home and abroad to serve as speakers and to discuss the hot issues in the relevant areas. The lecture will not only provide a platform for teachers and students to communicate with our famous scholars, but also to guide the focus of the strong field of intense magnetic field research and promote the development of our school's distinctive theory of science. This lecture is sponsored by the National Pulse Strong Magnetic Field Science Center, organized by the School of Physics.

Professor Claus von Klicin:We need to maintain a high degree of physical intuition and careful observation to carry out scientific research work, and try to analyze the real meaning of the new physical discovery.He encouraged our school teachers and students to maintain a sustained patience in the study, so as to be able to found the mystery of matter in boring data.He also believes that in the next 5 to 10 years, there will be a number of groundbreaking scientific research results in the field of pulsed strong magnetic field.
