The aim of high-field high-frequency ESR facility is to study the spin dynamics, magnetic excitations and magnetic anisotropy (e.g., zero-field splitting) in low-dimensional quantum spin systems and nanosized molecule magnets in various magnetic fields and temperatures.

Compatible Magnets

·30 T pulsed magnet

Bore size ~28mm, pulsed duration~25 ms, sample temperature 2-40 K

Available Equipment

·Backward wave oscillator (QS1-370): f=210-370 GHz (1-10 mW)

·Backward wave oscillator (QS1-260-520): f=155-260 GHz (100mW); f-310-520 GHz (3mW)

·Gunn oscillators: f= 54, 60, 70, 77, 85, 90, 100 GHz

·QMC detector: (1) The ULN95 Preamplifier; (2) Type QFI/X Hot Electron Bolometer (InSb) for 60 to 500 GHz
